Why it exists
Forgetting is not a tiny roleplay problem.
A forgotten promise changes a relationship. A forgotten injury breaks a scene. A location that moves, a secret the wrong person suddenly knows, or a character who resets to their default personality can make a long-running story feel disposable. MelumiyaChat is being designed around the opposite idea: continuity is part of the product, not an afterthought.
Canon has somewhere to live.
The World Bible gives characters, relationships, locations, factions, objects, secrets, rules, physical continuity, current state and story events explicit structure outside the immediate reply.
Characters are more than prompts.
Character creation is built as a dossier: identity, appearance, personality, preferences, history, relationships, knowledge, behavioural rules and continuity can all contribute to how the character behaves in play.
The user remains the author of canon.
New non-conflicting facts can be detected from roleplay, but user-authored canon is not meant to be silently overwritten by an AI guess. Conflicts should be visible, reviewable and correctable.
